IBS Tales – Personal Stories of IBS is a site for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) sufferers to tell their stories and read about the experiences of others. Hundreds of personal stories are conveniently categorized into "Happy," "Embarrassing," and "Sad" tales, and the site also includes an extensive "About IBS" section that's packed with informative articles and answers to the most frequently asked IBS questions. This site is run by Sophie, who has had IBS for 16 years and lives in the UK.
Nicole, a 25-year-old IBS sufferer/activist in Portland, Oregon, started this hip, new blog to help erase the stigma that too often accompanies irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders. With her refreshingly irreverent and humorous “No Shame” attitude, Nicole is part of a small but growing group of people who have thrown open their virtual windows, exposed their true identities for all the world to see (yes, with real names and face shots, too), and shouted at the top of their lungs, “I have irritable bowel syndrome, and I’m NOT going to hide it anymore!!!” This is definitely one site you’ll want to bookmark.
